The High Point University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Professor of Music, Dr. Brian Meixner, presents its final concert of the academic year, “Give Us This Day”, on Wednesday, April 24th at HPU’s Hayworth Fine Arts Center. This concert will honor High Point University’s centennial and include world premiere performances of compositions by HPU music faculty Louis Raymond-Kolker and JW Turner. The concert will also feature the winner of the inaugural HPU Wind Ensemble Student Concerto Competition – Jared Bevacqua, euphonium. This varied program will include David Maslanka’s epic composition, Give Us This Day.
