 “A Century in Concert: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Future”

The High Point University Community Orchestra, under the direction of Professor of Music, Dr. Brian Meixner, presents “A Century in Concert: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Future”. This performance honors High Point University’s centennial and includes Ottorino Respighi’s epic composition, “Pines of Rome”, composed in 1924. Also on the program are two works composed in 2024, written by HPU music faculty, Dr. Margaret Petty and Mr. Louis Raymond-Kolker. Also featured are the winners of 2024-25 HPU Student Concerto Competition – Emma Longboat (soprano) and Christopher Robinson (trumpet).
